HOW TO GET YOUR FLORIDA MEDICAL CARD
If you’re interested in obtaining a Florida medical cannabis card, the following steps will guide you through the process. Please review the following info and feel free to contact us if there’s anything we can help with.
QUALIFYING FOR THE PROGRAM
In order to participate in Florida’s medical cannabis program, you must be a Florida resident (or seasonal) and have a qualifying medical condition. Patients diagnosed with any of the following conditions are eligible to participate:
Anxiety
Pain
PTSD
Cancer
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
HIV
AIDS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Crohn’s disease
Parkinson’s disease
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to those above
Chronic nonmalignant pain caused by a qualifying medical condition or that originates from a qualifying medical condition and persists beyond the usual course of that qualifying medical condition.
PHYSICIAN CERTIFICATION
If you believe you’re eligible for medical card in Florida, the next step is to obtain a medical cannabis certification ... This is where we help!
In order to issue your medical cannabis certification, one of our physicians will perform an examination and determine if you have a qualifying medical condition. At this time, the physician will indicate the product type and quantity of medical cannabis you’ll be authorized to obtain. You’ll need to provide your email to the physician so that you can create your patient account and receive important updates from the registry. If you plan to have a caregiver, your physician will need to include their email address as well.
PATIENT APPLICATION
WE WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THIS DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Once your physician certification has been submitted, we will walk you through the state application to get you approved.
If you have a Florida drivers license or ID we can usually get you shopping the same day for medicine.
Without a FL drivers license it will take about 2 weeks for the state to approve you. You will also need to provide two documents in the “seasonal resident“ section for the state application. The documents do need to be from two different categories so a water bill and an electric bill will not count as two documents but only one. They also will not accept any Internet/cable/cell phone bills. The documents must have YOUR name and Florida address on them.
PLACING AN ORDER
Once your patient application is approved you’ll receive an email. You’ll now be able to visit any Florida dispensary, place orders, and schedule home deliveries with just your drivers license and cash. A physical card will be sent in the mail, but it takes about 30 days until you receive it.
